Bob's Burgers #3 (Dynamite)
Okay, so I haven't been as thrilled about this comic as much as I was at the beginning. Unfortunately, a lot of the shorts simply fall flat. A lot of Bob's Burgers' charm comes from the performances of the voice actors, and that's difficult to translate into comic form. Granted, I absolutely loved Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction, since they seem like exactly what Tina would create were she given the materials. Perhaps if all of the comic was done in this vein, I might have been more excited about it, but meh. There's only one more issue after this one, so I'll probably grab it off the stands and then promptly put it back (after which, it will be quickly sold - we have run out of these so freaking quickly).
Deathlok #1 (Marvel)
Mainly, I'm just curious about this new series, but not enough to commit to buying an issue. Nathan Edmondson does a great job with Black Widow, so I have no doubt that he'll impress me with Deathlok, but I'm just not sure how different a story can be told here. I'll give it a chance, though, out of loyalty to Edmondson.

OH. MY. GOD. I am sosososo excited about this comic. Just click over to the description on Previews World and tell me that you don't get the tingles (if it doesn't, you are dead to me). I just ... I just can't wait for it to be in my hands. I tend to like alternate history literature, especially when it has social commentary, and DMC seems to be right up my alley.
Earth 2: World's End #4 (DC)
I really, really like Earth 2 now. I'm also very, very confused, but I pulled out the first Earth 2 trade paperback and am familiarizing myself with the series. I'm liking Dr. Fate more and more, and I'm oddly concerned with Aquawoman and Atlantis, which are words that I never thought I'd type out. Hawkgirl is still my favorite, and Power Girl, despite her outfit, is growing on me. These new baddies, the Furies, are pretty kickass, and apparently, I have Solomon Grundy to look forward to. Good show, DC. Good show.

God, I love Greg Tocchini's art. I'm sticking with my plan to purchase the trades for rereading and then framing the single issues because the covers are so fucking beautiful (my favorite so far is #3). After the last issue, though, I am even more emotionally invested in what's going on with Stel and Marik, since, because of his mother's well-intentioned meddling (and sacrifice - which I'm hoping will be touched upon sooner rather than later), Marik seems to be coming out of his depression, even if only for a moment. A lot should be happening in this issue, since the next one following it is the conclusion of this story arc, and it would be an understatement to say that I'm excited.
The Massive #28 (Dark Horse)
I have really tried to like The Massive. I really have. It has everything that I should enjoy: post-apocalyptic setting, environmentalist message, mysterious and powerful woman that basically runs the show, etc. But I just can't get into it, even with the reveal that Mary is apparently an Immortal Being (spoiler alert?). I'll probably pick up another issue or two, but for now, it's safe to say that The Massive is no longer on my pull list. Granted, I said this about the Earth 2 series, and look where I am now.
Roche Limit #2 (Image)
I love sci-fi stories as much as the next guy, but I'm not 100% behind this series just yet. The art is pretty and I'm intrigued by the story for the most part, but the characters are a little wooden and there was so much crammed into the first issue that it was a lot to keep track of. I do like being thrust into the middle of the story, but I was having to turn back so many times to figure out what was going on that I almost lost interest. Hopefully, the next issue starts to tie some of the threads together, even loosely, and I'll probably keep picking Roche Limit up.

After last month's turn of events, I'm really scared where Saga is heading. I mean, even Fiona Staples and Brian K. Vaughan have already expressed that characters we know and love can die and that the comic, like life, can and will take harsh turns. And then seeing Hazel's narration, "And that's how my parents split up," UGH, HEARTSTRINGS. On the plus side, we will finally get to really meet the Will's sister, the Brand, and her companion, Sweet Boy. Look at me, being all positive and shit.
Sinestro #6 (DC)
Alrighty, we are coming up to the end of the first arc of the Godhead series, and I will say that, had it not been for Green Lantern: New Guardians and last week's Red Lanterns, I might have just said, "Fuck it," and dropped the books. The first Godhead issue, in my opinion, was pretty weak, and there was so much going on - and so many characters - that I felt overwhelmed and had to read the issue a couple of times before I kind of got the gist. Then I caught up with Kyle and Carol in New Guardians and fell in love with Guy in Red Lanterns - I mean, he vomited up red bile that burned a dude!! - almost instantaneously. Unlike the other one-shots from last month, I really liked the Sinestro one and hope that the trend of this event arc improving continues.
Vertigo Quarterly: Yellow #1 (Vertigo)
I have no idea what to expect from Vertigo Quarterly, since I've never picked it up before, and depending on whether or not I like it, I may have to convince myself to spend $7.99 on it, which seems a little steep. It may or may not be worth it, but Vertigo pretty consistently puts out excellent material, even if it doesn't always keep my interest (Bodies, for example). We'll see.
